Tucked away in the Western Catskills, lies one of New York's most pristine and preserved counties, Delaware. The rolling hills seem to go on endlessly and the beauty of nature is evident even among the small towns and villages. Home to dozens of fairs, festivals and farmers markets, Delaware County features some of the best game around and being one of the largest counties in the state, there is no lack of open space to wander, daydream and stroll along.
Community support and a strong commitment to helping young people realize their individual goals make our primary and secondary schools dynamic places of learning. Our 85% graduation rate exceeds the NYS average and our student teacher ratio of 10 to 1 is among the lowest in New York State.
Two BOCES centers offer life skills training in natural resources, culinary arts, allied health, cosmetology, and other fields to supplement the academic offerings of high schools and give adults an ability to gain new skills.
Delaware County is also home to SUNY Delhi. This residential college offers associate, bachelor, and master degree programs in applied technologies, hospitality management, veterinary science technology, nursing, business, and more. Strong community education and specialized training offerings add to the academic lineup.
