Schools in Delaware County
Community support and a strong commitment to helping young people realize their individual goals make our primary and secondary schools dynamic places of learning. Over 70 percent of the county's graduating high school seniors pursue higher education. There are 13 school districts in Delaware County, enrolling approximately 8200 students. A pupil/teacher ratio of twelve to one ensures individual attention.
Two BOCES centers offer life skill programs in agriculture, office technologies, food service and vocational studies to supplement the academic offerings of high schools and give adults the ability to gain new skills.
Delaware County is also home to the State University College of Technology at Delhi. This residential college offers associate and bachelor degree programs in hospitality management, liberal arts, business, horticulture, veterinary science technology, engineering technologies, nursing and applied technologies. Strong continuing education and specialized training offerings add to the academic line-up.
