Chamber Committees

Committees

The common ground that all Chamber members share is a mutual concern for their economic well being and the quality of life in Delaware County. A wide variety of interests among its members help provide the Chamber with an accurate perspective of the total business community. This broad support makes the Chamber more effective than a single industry or trade association.

The Chamber works through a committee structure composed of its members. Joining a Chamber committee also provides members with an opportunity to impact the positions your Chamber takes on concerns and issues of relevance. This involvement and time investment offer important networking opportunities, and is available to all employees of our member businesses.

Governmental Affairs Committee

This committee manages the Chamber's legislative priorities and goals, draft the annual legislative agenda for approval by the full Board of Directors. The committee meets to act upon governmental issues and concerns that affect our members' abilities to be successful and create jobs for the citizens of Delaware County.

Membership Committee

Providing critical membership liaison services and serving as the Chamber's "hospitality corps", this committee welcomes new members and is responsible for our member retention services.

Tourism Advisory Committee

The Tourism Advisory Committee guides the tourism program of Delaware County. This group advises in the development and distribution of the Delaware County visitor guide, advises staff on the selection of advertising agencies and media plans, plans county-wide promotional activities, communicates with tourism properties and other organizations on Chamber tourism program projects and acts as liaison with government and community organizations about the tourism program to promote a better understanding of the county's tourism industry.
