Business Assistance Organizations

Guide to Technical and Financial Assistance for Delaware County Businesses

It is hoped that this information, prepared by the NYS Legislative Commission on Rural Resources, will help guide Delaware County business and economic development leaders to the major state, federal, regional and local resources providing financial and technical assistance.

Brief descriptions are given of organizations that help companies seeking to establish, expand or modernize their operations, or aid local governments and community agencies wishing to develop strategies for planned growth and development and to secure the financial resources to help those plans succeed.

When contacting any of the offices listed, it helps to explain your needs first, rather than simply request application materials for a specific program. Programs are always in a state of flux and program staff often can steer callers to alternative or newly budgeted programs that do not appear here.

This list, though not all-inclusive, provides entry to the vast range of assistance provided by public agencies and other organizations, where you will find committed and capable professionals providing direct assistance and/or referral to other agencies or private/not-for-profit services.
